I can go on and on and on about the birds. For now, however, I will let the pictures speak for themselves.
As a brief explanatory note, we use a combination of electric fencing, complete free-roaming, and some amount of portable housing/pens for the really little babies, as the situation dictates. Everyone (with a few exceptions) goes into a predator proof house at night. We have the mother muscovies hatch and rear their own ducklings and the chicks we have thus far mail ordered from Sandhill Preservation Center. Although Babushka, a persistant and sneaky broody, has hatched 2 beautiful clutches and next year we will primarily let the chickens raise their own babies as well.
